My limited understanding is that gout is an arthritis-type condition. I can only guess at what concerns you about your toes as they relate to dance. I’m not sure if it is ballet you’ll be beginning (only assuming) but there will be a lot of rising...

via @DanceBooks Monsoon by Uma Krishnaswami: “…in the last scene of the book, the young girl and her brother “dance with the joy of earth’s sudden sweet scent.” What a lovely ending. But also, in an author’s note in the back of the book, I found out that classical Indian dancers have special hand gestures for several words related to rain.”

How do I create a dance bedroom, so I can practice...

Assuming you probably dance around in your room anyway, consider how much space you’ll need to move comfortably - a stow-away or loft style bed might provide you with extra floor space. Find inspiration by searching online for pics and how-tos. Compare flooring options, from...

Hi Nichelle! Dance Advantage is such an amazing...
Hi there! I don’t know if your class has started or is underway but preparing preschoolers for a new dance class can really help with the initial shyness. It helps if they can gradually get to know new people and new spaces rather than being thrust into an environment so something like a ‘greet the teacher’ or open house before classes start can help smooth the transition. Also,...
