Interview with ballerina, Allegra Kent about her new picture book
@DanceBooks inteviews Allegra Kent, former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, who has written a picture book called BALLERINA SWAN about a swan named Sophie who longs to dance. She talks about the book and some of her experiences working with George Balanchine at Picture Books & Pirouettes.
In what year did the original Angelina Ballerina book debut?
Picture Books & Pirouettes will tell you. Kerry covers both Angelina 2.0 and the lovingly drawn book series at her site in ‘Tis the Season of Angelina Ballerina.
