Move: Choreographing You at Hayward Gallery (via SouthbankCentre)
Next week, The Hayward Gallery unveils first major UK exhibition looking at the interaction between visual arts and dance from the 1960s to the present. ‘MOVE: Choreographing You’ invites the visitor to become part of the art - which includes installations and sculptures by internationally renowned visual artists and choreographers from the last 50 years including Trisha Brown and Bruce Nauman.
The video clip shows two works by German sculptor Franz Erhard Walther. Watch what happened when random people in London were asked to wear pieces #31 and #48 from his Werksatz series, which forced them to be too close or too far away from each other.
The exhibition runs from 13 October 2010 – 9 January 2011. More details at www.southbankcentre.co.uk/move
