Prancing, Dancing Lily - Children’s Storybook app

Prancing, Dancing Lily is an interactive children’s storybook app about a spirited cow who doesn’t fit in with the herd. Lily would rather step in time - than stay in line - so she leaves the farm with a clickety-clack and a song in her heart to travel the globe. Follow Lily around the world, from New York City to Spain to Senegal. Learn new dances, a bit of geography, and make new friends. Includes four free puzzles with three difficulty levels. For iOS, Android & Kindle -   http://bit.ly/YduBtl

“An artist is not measured by what he or she can do when he’s rested, he’s measured by what he can do when he’s tired.”

This is something that Raul Tadeo, the director of the Baja California Dance Company always tells his dancers.

Based in Tijuana, this company teaches ballet for free to underprivileged youth and produces large-scale ballet performances every year presenting them for little to no cost for the public. Despite the relevance of this 20+ year-old company, it struggles year to year to stay alive.

“A Dance For Tijuana - A Story On The Relevance Of Ballet In Education

But now, a passionate group of young New-York-based filmmakers is making a documentary to share this amazing story of passion, commitment and determination, and to help the Company in their mission.

Writer and co-director Paola Tapia Limon, a former member of the Company herself, says that she has “first hand experience in what this project and art can do in the life of a young person: not only does it teach kids to appreciate the arts and to find out who they are and what they are capable of achieving, but it also teaches them to believe in the power of their dreams — no matter how difficult they seem.
